About Our Adventure Trip Prices

Aventouras adventure vacations provide a great value at a fair price. Plus, we’d rather you work hard hiking Cerro de Oro near Lake Atitlán in Guatemala, or white water rafting on the Pacuare River in Costa Rica, or exploring the Mayan Cave of Achtun Tunichil Muknal in Belize and NOT work hard trying to compare Aventouras trip prices with our competitors. We lead with a price that includes all the major costs of your trip so you don’t have to spend hours trying to sort through the mayhem and fine print to compare trip values between companies.

You wouldn’t want to negotiate a good price on a car with the dealer only to have him tell you that it will cost another $700 if you actually want wheels on your car, would you? It’s the same story with a trip. It’s very misleading to find that the great price you thought you had doesn’t include major pieces of your trip—domestic flights, meals, etc.

Aventouras trips offer excellent value because we include all major costs in the price that you see. We don’t lead with a prominent price and then later tell you that the domestic flight is going to cost hundreds of dollars more. We clearly state what’s included and what is not, and if you think our prices seem higher than others we encourage you to look closely at what you get for your money. Our guests tell us they like the value we provide and we think you’ll agree.

When shopping around for a trip it’s worth it to pull out the reading glasses and read the fine print. Take a look and see if the trip price includes the following to really understand how much your overall trip will end up costing:

• Domestic flights or domestic ground transportation
• Entrance fees to parks, ruins, and other points of interest
• Activities—look to see how many activities are “optional” which also means that if you choose to do them you will be paying out of pocket
• Meals—look to see how many meals are included throughout the trip
• Ground transfers to and from the destination airport

Our prices are so complete that it is easier to tell you what’s not included:

• International airfare, alcoholic beverages, bottled water, telephone bills, laundry, personal expenses and tips/gratuities are not included
• Airport departure taxes since these vary per country and must be paid individually as part of the check-in and boarding process
• Travel insurance against illness, accident, and/or theft is recommended but always optional
• Any additional costs incurred due to circumstances beyond our control

One final note about our prices, all the prices you see listed on our website represent a cash or check price. If you prefer to pay for your trip with a credit card there will be an additional 3% surcharge and we accept Visa, Matercard, and Discover. Whether you pay by cash, check or credit card we can accept your trip deposit by credit card for no additional charge.
